I came from a place where it didn't matter what time you got in the house, as long as you got in there safe. From doing anything I wanted to getting into trouble with the cops. This is my story.
When I was thirteen, I still lived in Metropolis. I done everything I wanted, and there was nobody there to stop me. I got into trouble with the cops for the first time when I was eleven years old. I got accused of prank calling a girl. And her parents didn't like the messages that were sent to her phone. They let me off the hook the first time. Two years past, and my mom and dad got divorced. Things were just falling apart. When I was thirteen, I got into trouble with the cops for breaking and entering a hotel without permission. I got two years of probation. And I got hailed back one grade.
August 6, I started school in Crittenden County. I felt like a loser. I had messed up so bad in Metropolis I had to get hailed back one grade level. I felt like a disgrace. The hardest thing I have ever done was leave Metropolis because that's where all my family is. I had a newborn nephew at the time, and I had to leave my sisters, and mother.
At the same time, coming here was the best thing that ever happened to me. It was a big change. I had a time to be in the house. I couldn't do what I wanted. It was a big change that saved my life. Most of my family has been in and out of prison, and if I didn't get away, I'd end up just like them. Leaving there taught me to do better than the people in Metropolis. Its a dump there. There poverty level is below then what it should be. Who wants to live in a dump? Life was a mess at the time. Me and my sisters basically raised our self after my step dad had left.
I've been living in Marion for 3 years and I own more stuff that my own mother. Its so sad but I can actually say Im doing better in life. Im going to stay in Marion until I feel that its right to move back. This story is short but its my story..

What is love?
What is love? Is it where you would do anything in the world for someone? I think love can be a lot of things. People say they fall in love everyday. Love can take people down long deep roads. From getting your heart broken to braking others too. How can someone say they love someone. What do you have to prove to be able to show them that you care about them? People say they love but then when they brake up, they move on? Is that true love? Love can be real or fake. And thats why people out their have to watch the ones that pretend to love. When relationships are over, its never a walk in the park. So before you just fall in love, watch out for the pretenders. Before you say you love someone, stop and think, what is love?

Is it worth a try?
Is it worth it? Is it worth getting hurt over? People say they always want to help people, but in the end you always get hurt. People say to their self everyday they want to do something good, but the society won't let them do it. Lets say a guy wants to help a old woman cross the street. Ten years ago, that would've been a nice thing to do for someone that couldn't walk fast enough. Today, if you tried doing that she probably would think that your trying to mug her. Why is this? Most people say its the way the society is. Most of everyone has went to jail in their last, at least once or twice. Seems like people went from farming together, and talking to one another to people killing other people. People are always afraid that people won't accept their help and they don't want it. It always makes someones day better by helping them without them asking you to do something for them. All we have to do is ask ourselves if it's worth a try?
